Youth For Christ has been making a significant impact on the lives of young people through our Dream and Dare programs. These initiatives are designed to inspire and empower both young girls and boys, equipping them with the tools they need to navigate life with confidence and purpose.

Dream Program:
This initiative focuses on encouraging and equipping young girls to dream big and set meaningful goals for their future. So far, Youth For Christ have hosted Dream Days at:
Rheenendal Primary School: 23 girls participated
Trinity School: 21 girls participated
Emmanuel Ministries Oupad: 14 girls participated
Dare Program:
This program is aimed at young boys, challenging them to take bold steps toward positive character development and leadership. This year, Youth For Christ have conducted Dare Days at:
Trinity School: 17 boys participated
Rheenendal Primary School: 13 boys participated
Attendance at Rheenendal was affected by the session being held on a Saturday, but the boys who attended were very interested and engaged.
Overcoming Challenges
While the implementation of these programs has been met with enthusiasm, there have been some logistical challenges. One of the main hurdles is finding a suitable weekday for schools to accommodate the sessions without disrupting their academic schedule. Saturdays, while an alternative, pose another challenge as schools often require a caretaker to open the premises, which is not always feasible.
To work around these obstacles, Youth For Christ have adapted their approach by starting with the discipleship program in certain schools before culminating in the Dream and Dare programs. This ensures that students still receive valuable guidance and mentorship while scheduling difficulties are navigated.
Looking Ahead
Despite these challenges, Youth For Christ remain committed to expanding the reach of the Dream and Dare programs. They have already begun planning for two more schools and are working on securing dates for their upcoming sessions.
