The Dignity Campaign was excited to host its first DARE and DREAM Facilitator Training in East London at Destiny Community Church, marking an important milestone in expanding our reach and equipping more leaders to positively transform teenagers.

A Diverse Group United by a Common Purpose

The training brought together a diverse group of participants, including school teachers, missionaries, and ministry leaders. Although they serve in different contexts, they shared a common passion: to see teenagers thrive by equipping them with truth, hope, and practical life skills.

Throughout the day, participants explored how to facilitate both the DARE and DREAM programs with confidence and authenticity. The practical nature of the training gave attendees the opportunity to engage with the material, ask questions, and gain hands-on experience using the resources.

By the end of the day, participants expressed excitement about implementing the programmes in schools, churches, mission fields, and other community settings where they have influence.

Many shared that the training gave them a fresh perspective on the realities facing teenagers today and increased their confidence to facilitate discussions that are both compassionate and impactful.

One of the most significant insights for several participants was discovering how biblical truths can be communicated naturally and effectively without relying solely on direct Bible quotations, creating opportunities to engage young people from a wide range of backgrounds.

What Participants Had to Say

The feedback reflected the value and impact of the training:

"It was very impactful, as I get to interact a lot with the youth in the mission field and also in school ministry."
"It was an insightful training session that highlighted many issues teenagers face. We were equipped with useful tools and resources to navigate through various issues teenagers face."
"It changed the way I see things; it really encouraged me to talk or teach boys the right path in their lives."
"I realised I can plant God's Word and truths into young people without directly quoting the Bible. I feel confident with these teachings to share these biblical truths with young people."

The overwhelming gratitude expressed by both the organisers and participants affirmed the importance of bringing facilitator training to the East London region. We are thankful for the warm welcome from the local community and for every individual who chose to invest their time in becoming better equipped to serve teenagers.
