On December 14, 2024, our Partners Mercy Ministries hosted a Dream Day in Tamatave, Madagascar's second-largest city. Held at the Mercy Ministries/YWAM Madagascar center, the event brought together young women aged 13 to 30 for a day of empowerment, education, and connection. The participants came from various schools and universities across Tamatave, representing a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.

Initially, 28 girls were expected to participate, but in the end, 21 young women attended—and they made the most of it! The day was filled with impactful activities and discussions, leaving everyone enriched and inspired.
Highlights from The Dream Day
The girls expressed immense joy in being part of this unique gathering. From the feedback shared through evaluation forms, it was clear that the event had a profound impact on their understanding of themselves and their bodies.
One major highlight was the session focused on understanding the body and how it works. The facilitators shared their knowledge and experiences, which resonated deeply with the attendees. Many expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn about topics that are often overlooked but are so vital for young women.

Words from the Participants
Here are some heartfelt reflections from the participants:
Annick Brigidah:"I really enjoyed this day. It was amazing to be with other girls! We did some fun activities, and I loved every topic, especially the one about the body and puberty. I have learned so much, and now I can share this knowledge with my friends."
Another participant shared:"I am so happy that I was able to come! This day was wonderful for me. I learned about my identity in Christ. I'm God's daughter, I'm precious and beautiful in His sight. And now I know that I can accomplish my dreams."
A Day to Remember
The Dream Day was not just an event but a turning point for many of the girls. It empowered them to see themselves as valuable, capable, and worthy of achieving their dreams. The combination of fun activities, meaningful discussions, and a supportive environment created a memorable experience that will continue to inspire these young women.
As the facilitators and organizers, the Mercy Ministries/YWAM team played a crucial role in making this day impactful. Their dedication to the growth and empowerment of young women in Tamatave is truly commendable. Here's to many more Dream Days that continue to transform lives and foster hope!
