There was plenty of excitement in the room as The Dignity Campaign returned to Gauteng after two-years, bringing facilitator training to Alberton and gathering 22 passionate participants from schools, churches, and community organisations.

The training was filled with learning, laughter, meaningful conversations, and plenty of “aha!” moments. Participants came ready to learn how they could use The Dignity Campaign’s practical one-day programmes to make a real difference in the lives of teenagers and they left feeling inspired, equipped, and ready to take action.

Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom

The training wasn't just about understanding programme content. It was about discovering new ways to connect with young people, build confidence as facilitators, and create safe spaces where teenagers can grow, learn, and thrive.

Throughout the sessions, participants explored engaging and interactive teaching methods designed to reach both girls and boys. They also spent time reflecting on their own experiences and journeys, making the training both personally meaningful and professionally valuable.

Many participants shared that the training helped them see the important role they can play in mentoring and discipling young people, especially those who may lack positive role models or support systems at home.

A Room Full of Passion and Purpose

One of the highlights of the training was the shared sense of purpose among participants. Whether they came from a school, church, or community organisation, everyone was united by a desire to help young people recognise their value, make healthy choices, and reach their full potential.

The atmosphere was energetic and encouraging, with participants actively engaging in discussions, activities, and practical demonstrations. By the end of the training, many left with fresh ideas, renewed confidence, and a deeper commitment to investing in the next generation.

What Participants Had to Say

The feedback from participants captured just how impactful the experience was:

"The training was better than expected. I see such value for the girls that will be impacted by this, and of critical importance is inviting them to the discipleship course and mentorship after that. The mentorship is so valuable for girls from broken homes, or absent parents." – Dream Participant
"Very informative and self-reflective. Easy to apply to all aspects of life." – Dare Participant
"Relatable experience of situations for young girls that still exists and that I need to take action." – Dream Participant
