Awareness

We believe that knowledge is the first step toward creating positive change in our communities. We are committed to raising awareness about some of the most pressing issues affecting young people today. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we aim to foster a more informed, compassionate, and proactive society.

We run workshops on the following topics:

God’s Heart & Vision for Men & Women

God’s vision for men and women focusses on harmony, mutual respect, and partnership. The goal is to emphasize how both genders are created uniquely and equally in God’s image. By empowering men and women to support and value each other, this vision ensures healthy relationships and lays a foundation for a positive influence on future generations. It encourages men and women to embrace their God-given roles, not through domination or submission, but through love, understanding, and collaboration.

Development of the Teenage Brain

Adolescence is a period of intense brain development, where the prefrontal cortex (responsible for decision-making and impulse control) matures last. This leads to:

  • Emotional Vulnerability

  • Risk-Taking

  • Support and Learning Opportunities

This teaching helps adults better understand the mental and emotional development of a teen, and equips them on how to work with them

Child Protection and Safeguarding

Safeguarding children involves preventing and responding to harm, which can include:

  • Forms of Harm: Physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, along with neglect.

  • Spotting Red Flags: Indicators such as withdrawn behavior, unexplained injuries, or fear of specific individuals must be addressed immediately.

  • Creating Safe Environments: Ensuring spaces where children feel heard and valued while implementing strict protection policies to prevent abuse and exploitation.

Fatherlessness

Fatherlessness highlights the emotional and psychological void left in children when a father is absent. This absence can significantly shape a teen’s identity and emotional development, leading to struggles in forming healthy relationships. Men must first confront their unresolved feelings about their own absent or ineffective father, (before engaging with teens on this topic). Addressing personal “father wounds” enables men to empathize and effectively mentor boys, breaking cycles of pain and promoting healing.

Lets Talk About Sex

Sexual education rooted in God’s design highlights that sex is not only physical but also spiritual, emotional, and relational. This teaching emphasizes:

  • God’s Intention for Intimacy: Presenting sex as a gift within marriage.

  • Environmental Contexts: Teens are exposed to pornography, casual relationships, and distorted messages.

  • Encouraging Conversations: Open, age-appropriate dialogues with teens about sex help them develop healthy, biblically based perspectives and avoid harmful choices.

Issues Teens Face

Today's teens face numerous challenges that are more complex than in previous generations. These include:

  • Mental Health: Anxiety, depression, and stress

  • Peer Pressure: Social expectations to fit in

  • Social Media Influence: Unrealistic standards and cyberbullying

  • Identity Struggles: Issues of gender, sexuality, and purpose in life

Understanding these challenges allows mentors and parents to provide better guidance and support.

Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a growing threat, and raising awareness involves:

  • Types of Trafficking: Exploitation for labor, sex, or organ trade.

  • Methods Traffickers Use: Grooming, deception, and online tactics are common ways traffickers manipulate teens.

  • Signs of Risk: Adults should look for unexplained absences, sudden behavioral changes, or possession of expensive items with no known source. Equipping teens and adults to recognize these signs helps protect vulnerable individuals.
