Eastern Cape Awareness Workshops

The Dignity Campaign was privileged to be part of the Border Baptist Network’s training weekend, held in Qonce (formerly King William’s Town) in the Eastern Cape on 6–7 June 2025. 

On Saturday, we hosted a seminar attended by 25 people from various churches in the Border region. We facilitated three interactive workshops, where participants were placed in rotating groups, giving each group the opportunity to attend all three sessions. 

The workshop topics were: 

• The Development of the Teenage Brain 

• The Issues Teens Face 

• Fatherlessness 

• Safeguarding

  
  

These workshops were designed to create awareness and provide participants with an opportunity to engage with issues that affect young people today. 

Workshop Feedback: 

• “The training was a good gain for me. I have learned how to deal with young minds and their growth.” 

• “It has made me think about myself, how I am as a mom and as a youth leader – where I need to improve.”
