On 25 October 2025, the Dignity Campaign marked an exciting milestone as we hosted our first ever facilitator training in Pietermaritzburg. After months of searching, planning, and prayer, we finally had the opportunity to establish a meaningful footprint in the KwaZulu-Natal region.

A Day of Enthusiasm, Learning, and Purpose
Despite the scorching heat, 35 passionate participants representing various churches and community organisations gathered for a full day of hands-on, practical training. Their energy, eagerness, and commitment to being equipped for impact made the day feel incredibly significant.
From the outset, there was a sense that this training was more than just a workshop, it was the start of something bigger. Participants engaged deeply with the content, embraced the tools, and expressed a strong desire to implement Dream and Dare Days in their own communities.
What made the day even more special was the unexpected connection forged with an organisation that shares our heart for empowering young people. We are excited about the possibility of this partnership growing and helping us reach even more girls and boys across the greater KZN region.
What Participants Had to Say
The feedback spoke volumes about the day’s impact:
“It impacted me in a very good way. I learnt a lot about identity, belonging, and purpose. These are very powerful topics that I didn't think would affect me this much. I feel more informed and I can't wait to teach this to young girls. The puberty and menstrual cycle sessions felt like a refresher, and I loved learning about the different sanitary products. I learnt so much today and I'm very grateful. Thank you to the Dignity team for this amazing training — I can't wait for the next one.”
“I am so equipped with powerful facilitation skills on how to interact with girls, especially teenagers. As a community leader, I have acquired useful insight from this workshop.”
“It was so powerful and eye-opening. The activities were thorough, fun, educational, and impactful. The trainers were very fun, and the day ran so fast. It was amazing!”
KZN, this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see what unfolds next.
