Eastern Cape Dream Champion Camp: A Weekend of Faith, Fun and Big Dreams
A weekend of dancing, creativity, friendship and discovering more about God and ourselves, the Eastern Cape Dream Champion Camp was one to remember!

As part of The Dignity Campaign’s mentorship program, the Dream Champion Camp gives girls the opportunity to explore what it means to engage with God, themselves and the world around them. Through interactive sessions and fun activities, the girls were encouraged to grow in faith, recognise their worth and dream about the future.
And their feedback shows just how much the weekend meant to them.
Growing closer to God
One of the biggest highlights was learning new ways to engage with God through prayer, journalling and exploring His characteristics.
At the Table of Mercy and Grace, the girls had time to reflect on their relationship with God. Receiving a Bible verse was a particularly meaningful moment for one participant, while others shared how the experience reminded them of the importance of staying close to Him.
As one girl reflected, she would never forget learning that “there are many ways of engaging with God.”
No filter needed
In a world shaped by social media filters and unrealistic beauty standards, the girls explored how they see themselves and the pressure to look a certain way.
The interactive filter activity sparked important conversations about identity, beauty and self-worth. One participant summed up the lesson perfectly:
“You don't need a filter, you are beautiful just the way you are.”
It was a reminder that every girl has value beyond her appearance and deserves to see herself through God's eyes.
Dreaming big
Paint, colour, cut and create! The vision board activity was a favourite, giving the girls space to get creative while reflecting on their goals and hopes for the future.
For many, it was more than an art project. It was an opportunity to think about their potential and the dreams they want to pursue.
Several girls said they would never forget their vision boards or learning about “the power of a vision.”
Dancing, laughter and memories
Camp was also filled with singing, dancing and plenty of laughter. The girls loved learning dances together and enjoying time with one another, creating memories that went beyond the sessions.
One participant summed up the experience simply: “All of them, they brought joy to me.”
Every girl is a champion
At The Dignity Campaign, we believe every girl has inherent worth, dignity and purpose. The Dream Champion Camp creates space for girls to grow in confidence, deepen their faith and discover more about who they are.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make the Eastern Cape camp possible and to every girl who came ready to learn, connect and dream.
Here's to a generation of girls who know who they are, know Whose they are, and dare to dream big!
