This past weekend, we held our Eastern Cape Dream Champion Camp in Port Elizabeth, where 30 girls and 6 mentors gathered for a powerful time of growth, fun, and connection.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and expectation. Over the next few days, we journeyed together through sessions on engaging with yourself, God, and the world — learning how to see life through faith-filled eyes and discovering the power of community.
The days were filled with laughter, worship, swimming, games, and deep reflection. One of the highlights was our quiet time spent journaling and reading the Psalms — for many of the girls, it was their first time exploring these beautiful passages of Scripture.
One camper shared:
“I didn’t have God in my life before, but now I would say my life is with God.”
Another reflected:
“I wish we had longer camp days because we don’t want to go home!”
Hearing these words reminded us why Champion Camp exists, to create a safe, joyful, faith-filled space where young girls can encounter God, discover who they are, and form friendships that encourage them to dream big.
As one girl beautifully summed it up:
“Champion Camp is a safe place full of friendly friends.”
We couldn’t agree more. 💛
Thank you to every mentor, volunteer, and supporter who made this weekend possible. Your investment in these girls’ lives is shaping a generation of confident, faith-filled young women ready to make a difference in the world.
