Western Cape Dream Champion Camp 2026
What happens when a group of girls are given a weekend to pause, have fun, get creative and discover what it means to engage with God, themselves and the world around them?
Dream Champion Camp.
Our Western Cape Dream Champion Camp brought together girls who have been part of The Dignity Campaign’s mentorship program for a weekend filled with laughter, creativity, dancing, singing, friendship and, most importantly, space to encounter God.
Throughout the weekend, the girls were encouraged to explore what it means to engage with God not simply by learning about Him, but by discovering different ways they can speak to Him, listen to Him and spend time in His presence.
One of the highlights for many of the girls was the Table of Mercy and Grace. Sitting quietly with a candle and having space to reflect and pray created a moment that many said they would never forget. For some, it was simply being able to sit peacefully and talk to God. Others described feeling lighter and reminded that they are never alone.
“It made me realise I am loved and that I am not alone.”
The girls also had the opportunity to engage with God through journaling, Scripture, Psalms, prayer and creative activities. Through art and vision boards, they were encouraged to think about their hopes, dreams and the future they want to pursue.
And, of course, camp wasn't all quiet reflection!
There was plenty of dancing, singing, games, creativity and fun. The girls created crowns, made vision boards, took part in activities on the field and spent time simply enjoying being together. For many, these moments of joy and connection were just as memorable as the deeper conversations.
When asked what they would never forget about camp, the girls mentioned everything from their vision boards and crowns to the games they played and, most importantly, learning how to engage with God.
One girl summed it up simply:
“I learnt about engaging with God.”
Another said:
“It made me feel lighter.”
These responses remind us why creating spaces like Dream Champion Camp matters. The girls aren't simply coming away with memories of a fun weekend. They are being given tools to continue their journey of discovering who they are, who God is and how they can navigate the world around them.
Dream Champion Camp is a continuation of the journey that begins through mentorship. It is a space where girls can laugh loudly, dance freely, ask questions, dream boldly, create something beautiful and encounter God in ways that feel real and personal to them.
And perhaps the greatest takeaway is that the girls left knowing they are loved, seen, not alone and capable of dreaming about a future filled with possibility.
We are so grateful for everyone who helped make Western Cape Dream Champion Camp possible and even more grateful for the girls who brought their energy, creativity, honesty and joy to the weekend.
This is what Dream Champion Camp is all about: engaging with God, themselves and the world while having a whole lot of fun along the way!
